This policy explains what information Blackex Business Consulting ("Blackex", "we", "us") collects on blackexconsulting.com and in the Blackex Portal, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site (booking a BOI Snapshot, the free self-check, the free tools, the checklist, the referral partner form, an event RSVP or a booking), we collect what you enter, such as your name, company, email, phone number, location, revenue range and your answers or message.
Client and portal information. If you're a Blackex client or team member, the Blackex Portal stores your account details and the work we do together: documents you sign, invoices and payments, files you upload, messages, plans, scorecard numbers and, if you choose to connect them, figures from your accounting software.
Payment information. Card and bank payments are handled by Stripe. We see whether a payment went through and its amount, but we never receive or store your full card or bank account number.
Bank and card connections. Blackex uses Stripe Financial Connections to link Blackex's own business bank and card accounts to the portal. It reads transactions and balances so we can match receipts and keep our books. The person connecting an account signs in to the bank inside Stripe's window; we never see bank passwords, and this connection can't move money.
Automatic information. Like most sites, ours records basic technical details such as your browser type and pages visited. This site uses the Google tag to measure how our Google ads perform, which can set cookies. If we email you, our emails may include a small image and tracked links that tell us whether the email was opened or a link was clicked.
How we use it
- To reply to you, schedule calls and deliver the services you ask for.
- To send the results, confirmations and follow-ups you requested, and occasional emails about our services. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To run client engagements, send invoices and take payments.
- To keep Blackex's own books, such as matching receipts to company card charges.
- To improve our website and measure our advertising.
- To keep our systems secure and meet legal and tax obligations.
We use AI tools (Anthropic's Claude) to help our team draft notes, read documents you share with us and prepare first-pass analysis. A Blackex team member reviews that work before anything is shared with you.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run Blackex, and only so they can do that work:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives website form submissions.
- Supabase hosts the Blackex Portal and its database, in the United States.
- Stripe processes payments and Blackex's bank and card connections.
- Google provides our email, calendar and file backup, and ad measurement.
- Anthropic provides the AI tools described above.
- Intuit (QuickBooks), only if you choose to connect your books.
- Calendly, if you book a call through our calendar link.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Signed agreements and financial records are kept for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need.
How we protect it
Portal accounts are protected by sign-in, and each person can see only the information they're allowed to see. Files are stored privately and shared through short-lived links. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any email, or by writing to us.
- Ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@blackexconsulting.com.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also manage ad personalization in your Google account.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we'll post it here and, where appropriate, let clients know.
